During the Klondike gold rush, Skagway was the primary starting point for the hoards of men looking to strike it rich. A “Brotherhood” of the North was formed where men from all parts of the world could meet and get to known each other. They became known as the Arctic Brotherhood and it was not long before every northern frontier town, settlement, and mining camp had their own Arctic Brotherhood chapter.
